Today, I don't think much will be happening on Shoe Dawg Shoe! Mark’s dad is flying in from St. Louis today and I am furiously swiffering (a new Webster’s dictionary word, right?) The kids were supposed to scour their bathroom since he will be using it and you guessed it – it has not been done – I think there is either a new phylum of plants or species of bacteria being grown in several spots there. The CDC or health department would have a hey day! I will be donning a mask and perhaps a protective suit when I get in there….If you don’t hear from me in the next day, I have been eaten.
We also have fur balls the size of Texas floating around and spotting the floor like tumble weeds in the desert. The cats are in prime shedding season. One of my Jazzercise students recommended that I throw them outside because birds use them to build their nests. I told her that I didn't want the large birds in my yard that would need to use all of the excess cat hair I have lying around (I am imagining a flock of buzzards or maybe emus...)
P.S. I think I hear the kids stirring upstairs (it's almost noon - gasp!)...oh wait....he's here (Mark's dad) and I am shower-less......I am currently donning Versace glasses (my one saving grace), Mark's "Proud to be American" t-shirt that was given to him as a sample to order shirts for his plant (I am very patriotic but can you say ABSOLUTELY CHEESY? The most loyal veteran would not wear this - EVER!) and Devon's hand-me-down soccer shorts from three seasons ago with a hole in the worst of all possible places.... NICE impression. My apologies to my fellow fashionistas! I will rectify this situation momentarily!

Happy 48th (Yes I said it) Birthday Stan!
Happy Birthday to my brother in law Stan Neel! Have a super day and no, I won't take you shopping when I see you next! (Although if you want to go you can twist my arm!)
There is a correlation between Dawgs and Shoes!
Okay who said that there can be no connection between Dawgs and shoes? Check it out http://dawgclogs.com.
I will find many more connections with shoes and Dawgs, trust me...

HAPPY 48th ANNIVERSARY Mimi & Pop!
Happy 48th Anniversary to Mimi and Pop (my mom and dad!) I hope you both have a super day and celebrate many, many more anniversaries!
HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY OLIVIA!
Happy Birthday 5th Birthday to my neice Olivia Katherine Headley in Marlborough, MA. I understand your favorite color is blue now and not pink -- that's why I am writing in blue! When you visit next, we're going shoe shopping!
My First Attempt at Blogging...
Okay, why "Shoe Dawg Shoe" you ask? Well, because I absolutely LOVE shoes (if the shoe fits, buy two pair or in my case, one in every possible color) and I LOVE the Georgia Bulldawgs. I bleed red and black. And oh, yeah, I love my husband, kids and my pets (some of which are dawgs) but couldn't really fit that into a cute blog title - Somehow, shoedawghubbyzoo didn't sound as good as Shoe Dawg Shoe (get the play on shoo fly shoo? - I amuse myself). So, I guess I just have to write about them (along with shoes and the Dawgs!) Believe me, I could write a book about them and will likely do so via this blog!
So, I am blogging in order to save money on which would obviously be massive therapy bills on my part - therapy is great but we just can't manage the $21,000 per week bill (yes, I calculated $125 an hour, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day)... Not to mention the expense of Rogaine from pulling my hair out.
A special thanks to my friend Karen for getting me started on this blog! Perhaps it is her attempt to have me quit sending her rambling emails about life's ills! Haha! Thanks Karen!
I hope you enjoy the entries and invite you to take the survey located on this page too! Don't know Manolo or Jimmy? I will learn you! And, if you happen to wonder what font I have used for this site....It's Georgia - Again, I amuse myself!
No shoes, you lose! GO DAWGS!
