The Oscars are this evening and if you are like me, you are trembling with anticipation to see who has won the Best Supporting Actress in a Foreign Subtitled Animated Feature...Huh? I am waiting for the fashion and the shoes! Did you know that the famed Cinderella Slippers have sparked controversy this year?...Apparently the writer of the screenplay, "Juno" was asked by Stewart Weitzman (love him!) to sport the new slippers (valued at $1M) at the ceremony this year...When she found out this was just a PR stunt (HELLO? HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING UNDER A ROCK FOR THE PAST 20 YEARS OR HAS YOUR INDIE "SPIRIT" (literally and figuratively) FOGGED - AHEM - YOUR MIND?) Okay, maybe I pay a little too much attention to all of the fashion hoopla...Am giddy with excitement anticipating Kojo's assessment of the winners and the losers...NOTE TO SELF: Must get a life.
I actually am in a bit of mourning ... missed the Fantasy Fashion League Live Oscar Strategy Session on Friday...I am sure I was busy eradicating world hunger, saving the Carolina Heelsplitter Mussel in Lancaster County (this is a serious issue here in the Lancaster/York County area - don't mess with our mussels) or ... doing laundry and cleaning up cat vomit on the rug in the office...they know how to pick the most difficult rug to puke on -- I think they observe me with warped amusement, scrubbing and gagging at the same time....

RANDOM FACT: Did you know that Bob Mackie (designer to the stars) actually designed all of the costumes on "The Carol Burnette Show?" Even the Scarlet O'Hara curtain-donning episode...You probably think I am so smart but Carol (we're on a first name basis) revealed that on Oprah last week...SECOND NOTE TO SELF: Get a life!
